SMREK2-W Electrically Height-Adjustable Workbench with Tool Cabinet
A workbench supported by two JABAMA lifting columns, featuring a durable 30 mm hardwood plywood worktop and a spacious under-bench cabinet with 4 lockable drawers. The worktop height can be adjusted from 680 to 1070 mm using a control handset attached to the worktop.
| 300 kg load capacity with a uniformly distributed load | 680–1070 mm electric worktop height adjustment | 30 mm plywood worktop thickness | 3 years warranty, assembly included in the price |
SMREK2-W Applications
Service and maintenance workstations, mechanical workshops, quality control and R&D departments. Designed for workplaces where operators of different heights share a workstation, or where switching between sitting and standing affects ergonomics and work precision.
The 30 mm hardwood plywood worktop withstands concentrated loads and contact with tools exceptionally well. The clear lacquer finish protects the wood and requires no additional protective treatment.
Application Limits — Stated Clearly
The structure, supported by two lifting columns, is more sensitive to dynamic loads than a fixed frame. For forging, punching and heavy hammering, choose a fixed-frame workbench — SMW workbenches offer a load capacity of 500 kg and a frame made from 40×40×2 mm sections.

SMREK2-W in Shift Work
Each operator adjusts the worktop height to suit their needs at the start of a shift, rather than adapting to the previous user's settings. The height can also be adjusted as tasks change: lower for tasks requiring force, higher for precision assembly close to eye level.
The under-bench cabinet with 4 drawers keeps frequently used tools, technical documentation and accessories organised without taking up worktop space.
Drive System: Two JABAMA JK05-3930 Columns

The workbench is raised and lowered by two JK05-3930 lifting columns of our own design. We design and manufacture them at our facility in Chrośla, where they undergo thorough quality control testing. Using our own columns in dozens of our product designs ensures the continued availability of spare parts and servicing for years to come. The 390 mm column stroke allows the worktop height to be adjusted across the full range from 680 to 1070 mm.
| Column stroke | 390 mm |

Configuration and Expansion
The SMREK2-W workbench is available in two standard worktop sizes: 1500 × 900 mm and 2000 × 900 mm, both with a rated load capacity of 300 kg.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is the electric height adjustment range?
The height is smoothly adjustable from 680 to 1070 mm using an up/down control handset attached to the worktop. This range accommodates both seated and standing work and allows adjustment to each operator's height. The drive system consists of two lifting columns designed and manufactured in-house by JABAMA.
What is the load capacity, and is the workbench suitable for impact work?
The load capacity is 300 kg with a uniformly distributed load. The workbench is not intended for impact work, such as forging, punching or hammering. These tasks require a fixed-frame workbench, such as an SMW workbench with a load capacity of up to 500 kg and a frame made from 40×40×2 mm sections.
What features does the fitted under-bench cabinet offer?
The cabinet contains 4 pull-out drawers with a central key lock, each with a load capacity of 30 kg. The drawers help organise small, valuable tools and accessories while protecting them from dust and unauthorised access.
Is this workbench suitable for an EPA?
Not in this configuration. The plywood worktop does not dissipate electrostatic charges. For use in electrostatic protected areas (EPAs), choose the antistatic version with a conductive graphite-core worktop, an earthing assembly and metal feet — see ESD workbenches.
What does the SMREK2-W code mean?
SMREK2-W identifies an electrically height-adjustable assembly workbench (SMRE) equipped with a single under-bench cabinet with 4 drawers (K2), in a workshop configuration (W) with a 30 mm hardwood plywood worktop.
